I am pretty much a Work-in-Progress. I have a BA in Theater from University of Central Florida (an industry I'd like to get back into, as a writer, director, and performer) and have also been through the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center twice, once in 2005 and again in 2009; my first time was for Alcoholism and the second time due to economic circumstances. I've been sober since late 2004 and have also struggled with Depression since my early teens (perhaps earlier).

Spirituality is very important in my life. I have several translations of The Bible and I read a chapter of Proverbs daily. I am also interested in the writings and teachings of Buddhism (particularly Zen), Gnosticism, Transcendentalism, Rumi, Gibran, Walt Whitman, and Eastern Philosophy in general. I am also a firm believer in 12-Step programs as well. I believe that God speaks through many different voices and many different faiths.

I also enjoy reading, music, and movies. I love spending time in Borders or Barnes & Noble (even more so when I can actually afford to buy something). Used bookstores for me have been a treasure trove. (I actually taught myself how to read before I got to kindergarten) I'm also very much a fan of films from silents to the present day, particularly cheesy science fiction and horror films.

How I try to live my life today can be summed up as follows:
Trust God-Clean House-Help Others.
